NEXT DAY OF PLAY
Registration
Early registration for Organized Play, email your following information to 757pnp@gmail.com before 10pm, Friday September 18th.(*must send**)
– 1) *NAME**
– 2) *PHONE NUMBER**
– 3) *EMAIL ADDRESS**
– 4) *Permission** to post your rank online for other participants to see (Yes/No)
– 5) *Rating** (self, DUPR, and/or other system)
– 6) *Do you want to start play in the The Social Mixer?**
*or start with Competitive Ladder Play?**
– 7) Do you plan to leave early?
– 8) How did you hear about the 757 Potluck & Pickleball?
– You may include a request to be on the court with a specific person in The Social Mixer, if both people request to play together, it can happen.
– If you have messaged all of the stared information previously you need only send a request to play and the type of game you would like to start in. Submission is not complete until all information is received.
– The first people to complete submissions (divisible by 4) are guarantied to play in Organized Play.
– Those that submit after a cut off point will be placed on a waiting list and brought in to play based on the order of time of submission.
– Registration information will be used to track your performance and with your permission we’ll share your rank with others.
– Please let us know if you plan to come late or leave early, we will see what we can do to accommodate.
– If you don’t make deadline still send registration and please come to the Potluck, we will do our best to get you in. PVB has several courts and challenge courts, you can always play with others and eat with us.
Setup & potluck
– Everybody must check-in at front desk of the pro-shop.
– Non members most pay a friend of a member’s drop-in fee.
– I will arrive at the court about 12:30pm to start setting things up, your help is appreciated.
– Potluck will begin as people show up.
– I will order pizzas and I have plates, napkins, and plastic wear. (donation optional)
– There are tables we can use at PVB.
– Please let us know what you are bringing in the Whatsapp group.
– All that bring a dish or beverages to share are welcome to Potluck.
– If you come to play in Organized Play, on other courts, hang-out, or were dragged out by another, you’re in for the Potluck.
– Each court will be given a clipboard, a pen, and assigned players.
– Check-in for play between 1pm – 1:40pm.
– You must be registered.
– If you are not registered arrive before 12:45pm to register.
– We will try to get you can get you worked in, if we can.
– If an odd number of players are registered, last to register will have to wait to play.
– You must be at the Potluck staging area at 1:55pm, or you may be temporarily removed from play.
– We will get you on the courts as soon as possible.
– Each court will be given a clipboard, a pen, and assigned a court.
– Playtime should be about 2.5 – 3 hour longer for those that wish
oRGANIZED PLAY
– The evening is intended to get you to play with and against as many people as possible and be competitive. Oh & eat till ye be merry.
– Two Match Types
– 1st Match Type, The Social Mixer (Just a Warm-up, Mixed Levels)
– 1 match with 3 games to start the night
– You will be paired 3 other people
– Play 1 game with each person to 11 points
– Each game will have a 12 minute time limit
– If the current game is tied play 1 rally point to end the game
– 2nd Match Type, Competitive Ladder Play
– Remainder of the night
– You will be placed on a starting court close to skill level
– Play 1 game to 15 points
– Gameplay will stop after 20 minutes
– If the current game is tied play 1 rally point to end the game
– If you and your partner win, you move to a more difficult court and split
– If you and your partner loose, you move to a less difficult court and split
